A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT WONDER

Before your
next visit.

A little more about Art Pass.

The app

What is Art Pass?

Art Pass is your personal art passport: discover paintings and museums, remember paintings you have seen with dates, private notes and visits, and save what you want to see next.

Is Art Pass a museum ticket?

Art Pass does not include museum admission or replace a museum ticket. It helps you keep your own record of the art you encounter.

Do I need an account?

You can browse paintings, artists and museums without an account. Sign in with e-mail to save paintings, record seen paintings and private notes, and keep your lists. Choosing Save or Mark as seen while signed out takes you to sign-in.

Will a painting be on display when I visit?

Art Pass shows a painting as on display only with recent museum-supported confirmation checked by an editor. Confirmation expires within 30 days, or sooner if the display ends. When a current display cannot be confirmed, you will see Display not confirmed. Museum displays can change, so check with the museum before travelling.

Who checks the artwork information?

Editors review artwork information before publication, with expert approval for factual drafts. If you spot a problem, use Report a problem on a painting, artist or museum page. You can also contact support.

Beta and downloads

When can I download it?

We are preparing a small closed beta for iPhone and Android. Public download links will be added here when they are ready. There is no public release date to announce yet.

What does it cost?

Art Pass is free during the beta.

Who can use Art Pass?

Art Pass is for people aged 16 and older. When you create an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. This is a self-declaration; we do not ask for your date of birth. Read the privacy information.

Which languages does it support?

Art Pass is in English for now.

Privacy and your account

Are my notes and lists private?

Your notes and lists always stay private. A public profile can be found for seen-with requests; choosing a public profile does not make your notes or lists public.

How do I delete my account?

Sign in, open Profile and choose Delete account. You will be asked to enter your password and confirm. If you cannot use the app, you can request deletion by e-mail. See the deletion instructions.

Does this website use cookies or analytics?

No. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising. Read the website privacy information.
